Biographical
Information Gary was born in Scottburgh, Natal. He obtained an Honours Degree in Dramatic Art at WITS. He was offered a contract at the Loft Theatre Company in Natal and had many personal highlights, namely: Valentin in Kiss of the Spiderwoman; Trofimov in The Cherry Orchard and Badenhorst in Somewhere on the Border (for which he was nominated as best-actor). He relocated to Johannesburg and continued his theatrical career. He appeared at the Market Theatre in Shadowlands and Scenes from an Execution. For Pieter Toerien Productions in Never The Sinner, Spiders Web, The Sum of Us and for the Civic Theatre Gary in Doobie Boobies and the controversial The Choice. He worked with the improv group Theatresports and various corporate theatre productions. He has worked on two films, the local Heel Against the Head and a Canadian production Dr. Lucille. Gary recently appeared on SA TV in Gaz’Lam and Zero Tolerance. |
